Serena's Bio
Award-winning Serena Harnack is currently a Presidential Scholar at Berklee College of Music in Boston where she is majoring in Violin Performance. Serena began Suzuki violin lessons at age four quickly advancing through the program to audition for world renown pedagogue Almita Vamos at age 10. She was accepted to the prestigious Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago at Ravinia where she continued her studies through high school. Serena played in rock and bluegrass bands, studied voice, flute, viola and began songwriting. Her many awards include National YoungArts Winner 2017, 2016, ILMEA All-State Honors Orchestra Concertmaster, 1st Place Winner/Orchestra soloist: DePaul Concerto Competition multiple wins, Fox Valley Orchestra, DuPage Symphony, NIU Sinfonia, Discover National Chamber Competition and Rembrandt Young Artist both two consecutive years, Fischoff National Chamber Competition Silver-medalist...
